Fora Travel Advisor
The same approach that makes Sicily feel like home — depth over breadth, access over spectacle, authenticity over performance — applied to the rest of the world. As a Fora Travel advisor, I design travel everywhere.
The Fora Difference
I'm a Fora Travel advisor — part of a network of independent advisors who operate with the professionalism, fee transparency, and supplier access of a full-service travel agency, combined with the personal knowledge and curatorial instinct of someone who's built their work around genuine expertise in a place.
For clients who know and trust my approach in Sicily, working with me for travel elsewhere means the same things: the itinerary is built around your actual interests and travel style, not a generic template. The hotels and properties I recommend are places I know, have vetted, or have sourced through the Fora network's relationships. The access — to preferential rates, early check-in, complimentary upgrades, and supplier amenities — is real and professionally managed. The correspondence is personal, not automated.
Fora gives me the infrastructure of a professional advisory practice. Isola Marea gives it a curatorial identity. The combination means you get both the logistics right and the experience right.
What I Book
The regions closest to my knowledge base — Calabria, Sardinia, the Aeolian Islands, southern Spain, Greece — where the same ethos of depth over breadth applies, and where my relationships and research run deep.
The ancestry travel approach I have developed for Sicily, applied elsewhere. Irish heritage journeys, Greek return trips, Eastern European roots travel. The methodology translates; the personal relationships are supplemented by the Fora network.
Hotels, lodges, and properties where the stay itself is the experience — selected for the quality of the property and its fit to the specific client, not commission rate. Fora relationships provide genuine added value: amenities, rates, access.
Trips built around a cultural event, exhibition, festival, or artistic tradition — rather than around a destination. Designed for clients who know exactly what they want to experience and need someone to build the right trip around it.
Itineraries centered on the table — tastings, producers, harvest visits, restaurant reservations, cooking traditions. The same sensibility I bring to the Sicilian farm table, applied to other gastronomic regions.
Complex itineraries for families traveling across generations — requiring both the adventure elements younger travelers want and the comfort and access that make the trip workable for everyone. Built with patience and specificity.
How It Works
As a Fora Travel advisor, I operate with full fee transparency. Travel advisory services are charged through a planning fee structure — not hidden in supplier commissions. You know what you're paying and why. The planning fee covers the design of the itinerary, the logistics management, the supplier coordination, and my personal attention throughout the trip.
Where Fora network relationships provide preferential rates or added amenities — room upgrades, complimentary breakfast, early check-in, hotel credits — these are passed directly to you. The planning fee is earned through the design work, not through marking up supplier costs.
This is how professional travel advisory should work. It's how I work.
Wherever You Want to Go
Whether it's Sicily, somewhere in Europe, or somewhere else entirely — the conversation starts the same way: with where you want to go and what you want it to feel like.
